My son TK is 8 years old and loves to cook. I’d like to say that I taught the kids how to cook a few recipes so they can be independent and learn a new skill; but really, it’s so on days that I’m lazy or tired, I can say, “Hey kids, can you make so-and-so?”
So, TK recently found my go-to Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe and made some for the family. Yay for independence!!
Also, we just came back home to Madrid from spending 6 weeks in the States so I brought back some brown sugar since it’s hard to find here. And when I say some, I mean 24 lbs worth!! Yes, a little overkill, but I really do bake a lot! I know if you were me, you would do the same!
Anyway, the cookies were delicious!! He did a great job!!
This is the recipe I use! (The special ingredient is the cornstarch!! Makes it soft and chewy!) Sometimes I also use the Mrs. Field’s recipe and sometimes I use a combo of both. Either way, they’re all yummy and great for using up all this brown sugar!
